MM0001 – Maracatu Cruzeiro do Forte – Clube Carnavalesco Misto (2004)
This album is the accomplishment of a great wish for Cruzeiro community in order to register its history, because they are 75 years old and today they no longer practice some songs and rhythms, in this repertoire we have toadas from 1929 until nowadays. In some, the authors are remembered, others have lost their authorship, but it is all Cruzeiro do Forte’s heritage and two of them are foundation to several popular traditions in Brazil, which are “Ô Jardineira” and “Deus vos Salve Casa Santa”.
